FAQ
Somewhere along the way I forgot to add some basic information that everyone should know. Here are some FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

1) What is TigerLAN?

TigerLAN is an event that is hosted by the Cyber Athletics Club here at FHSU. The purpose of this event is to bring people together so they can play games and hold tournaments in a local setting. While you can play video games online with your friends and total strangers, you can't quite get the same experience as having the people in the same room with you. Also, because we create our own network, there is no "lag" or other associated issues that you would find by playing online.

2) Can minors attend? And if so, what do they need to do?

Yes, minors are definitely allowed to attend! All they need to do is bring a copy of our waiver that is signed by a legal guardian. You can find it here: http://www.tigerlan.org/files/waiver.pdf

3) What do I need to bring?

This would depend on what you plan on doing at TigerLAN. If you plan on participating in the Xbox tournaments or free play, you need to bring your own Xbox controller. If you plan on participating in any of the PC tournaments or free play, you will need to bring your own PC... like the entire thing. In particular you will need the tower, monitor, keyboard, mouse, power cables, a power strip, relevant cables, and a 10-25 foot CAT5 cable to connect to the network. Please note that we do not allow speakers. Please bring headphones. Everything else, such as the N64, Guitar Hero on the PS2, Dance Dance Revolution on the Xbox will have controllers provided.

4) Where can I find more detailed information?

I know I haven't covered everything here, so if you have more questions feel free to e-mail me (luke@merliniworks.com) or go to our forums (click the forum button to your left) and ask your question.
